McLaren scored a one-two finish in the Turkish Grand Prix with Lewis Hamilton on leading position. 2010 TURKISH GP: WEBBER AGAIN ON POLE POSITION

Mark Webber will start from Pole Position of the Turkish Grand Prix. This is the third in a row for the Australian. Surprise is his closest competitor in Q3 was Lewis Hamilton, who took second starting position. Sebastian Vetel was again slower in qualifying than his team-mate and had to settle with third position, while Ferrari will have major difficulties in its 800 F1 Grand Prix race, with Fernando Alonso on catastrophic 12th position and Felipe Massa with only eighth.

Undoubtedly the biggest news from Q2 was elimination of Fernando Alonso. His mistake into turn 12, cost the two-time champion badly, but he had another lap and again failed to set a time to enter the Top 10, which is another confirmation that this year the track in Turkey is not good for Ferrari`s. Fears they had before the race about Bridgestone tires proved true. Big day for Renault with both Kubica and Petrov in third qualification session. This was the first time for Petrov to be placed in Q3 with excellent seventh time in this part of qualifying.

Q1 passed without major surprises. Three debutant and currently slowest teams had been eliminated and filled the places from position 19 to 24. As a surprise you can call it vitantonio Liuzzi again not passed the first qualification session, largely due to the blocking of the wheels when braking into curve 10. Liuzzi was eventually full second slower than team-mate Sutil, who easily placed in the top ten cars in that moment.Lukas di Gras had a problem with his car, and left with only two qualifying laps.

2010 TURKISH GP: RESULTS FROM FRIDAY PRACTICE

Lewis Hamilton was fastest by nearly a second in the opening free practice session in Turkey, leading his team-mate Jenson Button in a McLaren one-two.Mercedes took third and fourth, with Michael Schumacher just over 0.1s up on Nico Rosberg. Vettel and Kubica completed the top six, ahead of Vitaly Petrov in a strong seventh in the second Renault. Championship leader Mark Webber was eighth for Red Bull, while Fernando Alonso was Ferrari's top runner in ninth. 10th-placed Adrian Sutil had the only accident of the session. He lost control of his Force India at the daunting Turn 8 with two minutes to go and spun backwards into the barriers, causing substantial damage to the car.Heikki Kovalainen was the best among the group of new teams, and was within half a second of Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari's pace.

Jenson Button kept McLaren on top in second practice at Istanbul Park, but now with Red Bull's Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel second and third. both Red Bull cars had some reliability worries in the closing minutes.Hamilton was fourth at the end. Fernando Alonso took fifth by the chequered flag improving his morniung result. Mercedes was sixth and seventh, Nico Rosberg ahead of Michael Schumacher this time, followed by the Renaults and Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari. I think Ferrari hasn`t chance to win the race and celebrate 800 F1 start. Tommorow we expect another Pole from Red Bull`s.

MONTEZEMOLO AGAINST NEW F1 TEAMS

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, once again expressed his disapproval of the new teams entered this year's Formula 1 championship. There are many complaints about the presence of three new teams (Lotus, Virgin and HRT) in this top motorsport.

Speaking with reporters of Tuttosport, Montezemolo mention impending milestone of eight hundred Grands Prix from Ferrari:

"In the sixtieth anniversary of Formula 1, we prepare to celebrate our eight hundredth Grand Prix. Let me say with pride that no one will never achieve that record. For us that is source of great satisfaction, because it means that Ferrari was here even in difficult times, while others have left and others arrived. I keep repeating that Formula 1 without Ferrari is not Formula 1, and this year there are many teams that should be in GP2 ".
